Comfort Inn & Suites Near Burke Mountain

Location was great and rooms were large. You can see the light coming through the door so if you have problems sleeping at night that can be an issue. They do have blackout blinds on the windows but that does not help the door. You also can hear every sound from every room. What I found unusual about this hotel is that they are pet friendly however not every floor. They informed me when I went to check in the room I booked I could not have because I had a pet. They ignored the fact that she was a service animal. They went on to say that only the higher floors were for people with allergies. Well I have allergies. Why couldn't I be on a higher floor? I felt like everything they were telling me was something they were just making up. Also you will not be able to eat if you have a pet and you are traveling alone. So much for the free breakfast.. they need better options. Do better @choicehotels @comfortinn

I stay here every year and are happy to see the upgrades they do year after year, they were long over due. The room are updated and modern, new furnishings, furnature, bathrooms and super clean. Great job on the rooms and the hotel, now I do t feel like I am in the movie the shining anymore when I visit. The pool area. The pool is heated indoor and very nice, the hot tub jets were not working while I visited and there was a smell of mildew from there, most likely either due to the jets not working or the filtration not working. I am sure it will be fixed. The ceiling of the pool area needs serious painting as there are large sheets of paint hanging from the ceiling. The complimentary breakfast is ok, the normal scrambled eggs and hash or the egg and cheese omlets. They were rotated every other day. Homefries and or sausage or canadian baccon. The juice machine, the apple juice was watered down and kinda tasted like bleach a bit? All in all a good visit and they have come a long way with this place and will be back next year and hope to see progress in the pool area.

Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and in great condition. Good breakfast, too. It's an excellent value and we would absolutely stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel for one night as a stopover between the White Mountains and Western Vermont, and it ended up being one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at. The hotel is beautiful and was all decorated for Fall and Halloween. The employees are super-friendly and helpful. You are offered cookies at check-in too! The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The only negative was that we were on the front side of the hotel, which faces a busy highway, and there was quite a bit of traffic noise. I would imagine that the back side of the hotel is much quieter. The breakfast was delicious and offered a lot of variety as well. The hotel is a bit isolated, but the town of St. Johnsbury is just a short drive away. We really enjoyed our stay here!

The hotel was clean and very comfortable, everything looked great. We had quite a few disappointed kids because the pool was closed, I really wish they had sent emails or texts prior to arrival alerting us that the pool/hot tub wouldn't be available so we could've known ahead of time instead of us packing all the swimming wear and then the kids being pretty disappointed when we arrived. Otherwise very nice!

Been here for the Vermont Correction Academy, and it's been a splendid experience and stay here, especially having Ashley at the front desk she's super helpful and wicked polite! Always willing to assist us Cadets here and providing top notch hotel service! Amazing hotel & staff, would recommend to anyone!

We spent the long President's Day weekend here. The room price was reasonable but everything about the hotel and experience exceeded our expectations. My husband is a snow mobiler and there is access to the trail right off the hotel property. The property itself is spacious and we had no issues with parking for our large truck and trailer. The staff is friendly and helpful. We had a standard king room but it was so large and spacious. There was a sitting room area separate from the sleeping area and it appears as though the entire hotel had recently been renovated. The only downside was the center staircase as soon as you enter only goes to the second floor so you then need to use the staircases at either end of the building or of course the elevators. The lobby is comfortably appointed with sofas and chairs in front of the large gas fireplace. All day long there is coffee, tea or hot chocolate in the lobby, with a really terrific selection of teas. In the evening there is lemon water with freshly baked cookies. Daily there is a full breakfast selection, the four nights we stayed the breakfast was different each morning. Waffle stations, egg choices, meats, along with all the typical breads, muffins, cereals, etc. We chose not to explore the pool, hot tub or sauna because there were lots of kids staying at the hotel. Overall we had a wonderful stay. The town of St. Johnsbury has so many great things to offer as well. This may become one of our go-to winter destinations.

Nicest hotel in the area within many miles, worth staying here even if you might drive a little further compared to what else is around at no more or very little extra cost. While it might not be exceptional, due to the low standard of the area it definitely stands out that way. Having tried others around and being very dissapointed elsewhere, take my word for it. Just stay here. Rarely crowded. Rooms solid and clean. Staff friendly and has a pool/hot tub which is a nice little extra. On another note. Update all your photos on official booking sites. Hotel looks old, outdated, crowded. But rooms are quite modern! Get it updated. Almost all the photos are bad.
